A New Workout Every Day
Welcome to the Workout of the Day! I will be posting a workout that is meant to challenge my most experienced trainees. For the beginner and intermediate trainee, do what you can and keep track of your progress from day to day. Stay with it, and over time you will be able to go through the entire session! If you don't know how to do a particular exercise that I list, look for our video tutorial page coming soon. We will be posting a short video of each exercise we post on the Workout of the Day. Until then, if you have a question please send it to me, and I'll be glad to answer it.

Workout for 1/19/10
 
  • Split Jumps holding KB/DB: 3 x 12 ea leg
  • In and out pushups*: 3 x 10 ea position
  • KB/DB swings: 3 x 20
  • Russian Twists**: 3 x 20
  • DB Burpees*** 3 x 10-12

*Change hand position from wide to narrow after the first 10 reps.

**Sit on the floor, knees bent, feet flat on the floor. Lean back to close to 45 degrees, holding a KB/DB or med ball, twist from side to side. If you have a med ball, touch it to the floor on each twist. If you have a KB, let it swing from forearm to forearm.

***Burpees holding DB’s. Add a pushup and an overhead press with them. These are tough.
